The dock is 260m long and opens from 14.7 to 85m wide. At lowest tide there is 1.8m clearance in the outer berth and 2.8 in the inner berth (Chart Datum). The dock is Naabsa rated. The tide has a 5m Spring rise/fall and a 2 hour high. There is 300m of available dockside access on the south side and 100m on the north side. There is an existing dockside crane pad that has been used by >750t cranes. There is excellent access from the road 24 hours a day.

Fawley Waterside is located approximately 15 miles south of Southampton and approximately 12 miles east of Lymington, on the edge of the New Forest National Park. The M27 (J2) is approximately 14 miles to the north via the A326, providing access to the A31 to the west and M3 to the east Southampton International Airport is within 20 miles.
